Creating Your First Sales Invoice

Steps

  1. Navigate to Sales > Invoices > New.
  2. Select an existing customer, or add a new one inline.
  3. Add products with quantity and price. Discounts can be applied per line.
  4. GST 17% is applied automatically when the customer is GST-registered (has an STRN). Zero-rated products are respected.
  5. Choose the stock source — your in-house warehouse or a distributor warehouse.
  6. Save as draft, or finalize to generate the invoice.

What finalizing does

  • Deducts stock at the chosen source, by batch and MRP.
  • Posts a receivable to the customer or distributor ledger.
  • Records the sale as income in Finance.
Always confirm the batch and expiry before finalizing — MRP is locked per batch.
