Creating Your First Sales Invoice
Steps
- Navigate to
Sales > Invoices > New. - Select an existing customer, or add a new one inline.
- Add products with quantity and price. Discounts can be applied per line.
- GST 17% is applied automatically when the customer is GST-registered (has an STRN). Zero-rated products are respected.
- Choose the stock source — your in-house warehouse or a distributor warehouse.
- Save as draft, or finalize to generate the invoice.
What finalizing does
- Deducts stock at the chosen source, by batch and MRP.
- Posts a receivable to the customer or distributor ledger.
- Records the sale as income in Finance.
Always confirm the batch and expiry before finalizing — MRP is locked per batch.
